Markers and passages.

  1. Place point markers.

Move to a timestamp and press M or Add marker here. Each marker is one point. It gets a number automatically; edit it to customize the name or time.

  2. Return to a marker.

Back marker jumps to the mark behind the playhead. Press it again promptly to go to an earlier mark. Next marker steps forward. The recording or passage start is always included.

  3. Save a passage.

Choose a name, start, and end for a page or other section. Opening it focuses the player and highlights only that range. Previous and Next passage open adjacent saved passages.

  4. Repeat at your pace.

Turn Repeat bookmarks on to use your saved interval counts, or off to play straight through. Back and Next marker work in both states. Whole-passage repeats remain independent. Customize the rewind and forward skip amount in Settings.

  5. Use the keyboard.

In the main player, Left and Right move between bookmarks, Space plays or pauses, and Up and Down change volume by 5%. Shortcuts stay out of text fields, sliders, menus, and open dialogs.

Recordings are in this browser’s IndexedDB. Markers, passages, and progress are in localStorage. Export a workspace backup and keep original audio files separately. Different browsers keep separate saves. Previous Hifz lesson backups are supported.
